This Butt Is Gone

Tourists have long traveled to see this sign in Conisbrough, England. The tourists would take pictures of themselves by the sign. And the tourists would often moon the camera.

How immature! Didn't these people know that a “water butt” is a receptacle for collecting water? And centuries ago, this road was named after a communal water butt. Butt Hole Road makes perfect sense!

But its residents finally got tired of the jokes and the endless parade of tourist bottoms. So they have now officially changed Butt Hole Road to “Archer Way.” But maybe tourists will still come to pose with their bows and arrows... before dropping their pants and mooning the camera!
