A woman named Katie Davies wrote a book called The Great Hamster Massacre. Shocking! Even more shocking, she just won almost $10,000 for a children’s books prize. Wow!
I haven’t read it, but the book is “a humorous murder mystery involving two girl sleuths and an array of dead hamsters.” Davies also made sure to include lots of “gory and bodily function bits” which I find annoying.
Hey, that’s MY turf. So congratulations to Ms. Davies… I guess!
