Famous Last Words: Special Gas Edition!

Jean Jacques-Rousseau was a great French philosopher. And because philosophizing doesn't pay much, Rousseau had something called a "patron." (A patron is a rich person who sponsors you.)

Rousseau's patron was a woman named Mademoiselle De Vercelles. But after a long illness, she lay in bed, speechless, with Rousseau by her side.

Suddenly, Mademoiselle De Vercelles broke wind loudly.

"Good!" she said. "A woman who can fart is not dead."

Then she died!
