You'll never believe what's in that Porta-Potty

"Dude! What were you doing in there for 14 minutes 28 seconds?"

There’s a big festival going on in Austin, Texas, called SXSW. One of the not-so-cool things on display there was a high-techporta-potty. As Katie Fehrenbacher describes it:
After you enter the porta potty, a video display is projected onto the door and it can show whether you’re standing or sitting and how long you’ve been in the biffy. While the installation wasn’t working for part of the party, this is the one that I thought would make party-goers the most uncomfortable. No one wants to come out of a porta potty that’s displaying how you’ve been sitting on the toilet for 10 minutes.

Porta-Potty Strategy!

You're at the fair or a concert and you have to use a Porta-Potty. But you're shocked at the long lines of people waiting to bust grumpies! What's your best bet for taking care of business quickly?

Over at the NPR Tumblr, Ian has some advice for you:
Your first instinct will be to choose the shortest line, but this can be wrong. Choose the line with the best female to male ratio, even if it’s not the shortest line. [In other words, pick the line with the most women.] Most men, if they’re going Number One, will see long lines and choose to go on a tree, fire hydrant, or friend. This means most men standing in line are going Number Two, which in turn means a line with more men will be moving much, much slower than a line with more women.

Antonio Brown needed to get off the field and do a couple of things.

The Pittsburgh Steelers receiver is obviously a big fan of my preceding post! (Why else would he take a break in the middle of NFL training camp?)

Busting Grumpies in a War-Zone Isn't Pretty

Keep your feet off the seat!
An anonymous U.S. soldier in Afghanistan recently sent this photo to a website.

It illustrates why the Americans and Afghans use separate PortaPotties

The Afghans usually squat over pit toilets. Since they aren’t used to Western-style toilets (that you sit on), the Afghans squat on the toilet seat to poop.

This doesn’t sound SO bad, but that photo…oy! Don't worry, though. That's just dirt from the soldiers' boots that you see.

But who knew that the U.S. armed forces use pink toilet paper?!

If your neighbor poops in your yard, you should...?

We're having our house painted. And the painting company put a Porta-Potty in our front yard. Awesome!

Once the workers left for the day, I went down to the Porta-Potty. Since we were basically paying for it, I thought it might be fun to pee in my front yard without anyone complaining.

But once I got down there, the little RED dial on the bathroom door showed that someone ELSE was inside of it!

Weird! Who was in there? I went back inside the house and kept on eye on the Porta-Potty. And after a minute, I saw the door open…and my neighbor from a block away stepped out of it and walked off!

What the heck?! Did he walk all the way over to our house to do that? Or was he already out walking, and then he felt the urge, and then he saw the Porta-Potty?

OR is he INSANE???

I don't know. But what I DO know is that I want revenge...so I just might have to skip to the loo in HIS front yard.
*Later*
Rats! He doesn't have one.

ADDITION: Good news! I finally made it into the Porta-Potty. (And I don't think anyone saw me, either!)
