Escamoles for everyone!

“Hey, that taco looks sort of good. What is it?”

“Escamoles.”

“Great! But what IS an escamole?”

“These are the eggs of the Liometopum ants.”

“No, seriously.”

“Yes, seriously. The ants lay very large eggs, as you can see. We collect these eggs and eat them. They have a nutty flavor—”

“I’ll just have the rice and beans, thanks.”
