"Poop! There it is!"

This diaper commercial features babies pooping in front of a cheering crowd. At the end, they soak up the applause while their diapers somehow soak up their massive amounts of voodoo butter. (I'm not sure if I like this ad or hate it!)

Beware the poop bomb!

Despite the smiles, these TSA agents take their job seriously. And they're also very brave!

I mean, there's no way that I'm going to look in an 8-month old's diapers. The baby might have detonated something in it!

Coolest Diaper Ad Ever?

This freeze-frame of gross destruction puts Huggies in the Hall of Fame for diaper commercials. Well-done!

Taste the Rainbow!

By Sang Trinh
I have eight brothers and sisters. Since I'm the fourth-oldest, that means that I've changed LOTS of diapers.

Babies will shove ANYTHING in their mouths. So while cleaning up my younger brothers and sisters, I often found surprises!

Yep, I discovered pennies, nickels, and dimes embedded in their baby poop. (Don't ask if I kept the money.) I found rubber lizards. I found things that make me shudder, even today. *shudders*

But the most memorable surprise was when I had to change my younger brother after he'd eaten what looked like a whole box of crayons.

He pooped a rainbow!

I'd like to say it was beautiful...or that it had a pot of gold at the end. (It wasn't. It didn't.)

Soccer Diapers and Poo-splosions!

I can't remember my first diapers, but I know they didn't have a soccer-theme. Please—babies can't even WALK, but adults put them in soccer diapers?

Anyway, a lady named Tiffany was thinking about the first things her babies have done. While many parents stick with the basics (“Look he took his first step!” “Hey, she said her first word!”), Tiffany keeps it real:
—The first time [the babies] have massive diaper failure. I call these poo-splosions. They typically occur when you are in a hurry...
—The first time they poo while bathing in the tub. Only one of my kids has actually done this, but believe me the shock and awe will stay with you forever.  It still makes me shudder.
And now I would like to award Tiffany the Ultra-Gross Award of the Week for inventing the coolest word ever: Poo-splosions!

Eradicate Khaki-Diaper-Butt Today!

Facebook runs little ads in the margins that are personally tailored for each user. So WHY did I get this ad (right) encouraging me to get rid of my khaki-diaper butt? I mean:

1.) I don't wear diapers.

2.) My khakis are loose enough that even if I WAS wearing diapers, nobody would see.

3.) But I don't wear diapers. Seriously! And anyone who says different is a LIAR!

"When it’s No. 2, I look like No. 1. (I poo in blue!)"

Soon you're going to see babies wearing denim diapers. Yes, Little Movers Jean Diapers will go on sale in the U.S. next month. Why is this such a great idea? Let’s let an executive at Huggies explain
“Jeans have always been a Mommy fashion must-have, but now it's time for their little ones to steal the style. The design helps babies stay trendy while keeping dry with the same revolutionary design and proven leakage protection that moms have come to know and trust from the Huggies brand.”
Did you see that? "Babies can stay trendy." You know, back when I was wearing diapers, staying trendy wasn’t exactly at the top of my list of “things to do.” (Swallowing Legos was way more fun.)

What cracks me up is that it looks like the diapers have fake pockets and belt loops in the back. Are there real rivets? And I’m not sure the other babies will be impressed if they see a denim diaper sticking out of someone's onesie!
Addition: There's a video for the Jean Diapers where the toddler has this line: “When it’s No. 2, I look like No. 1: I poo — in blue.”

Strengthened Awareness of Bladder Behavior

Diaper alarms work!

But before I get to that, did you know that in the 1940s, kids were usually toilet trained when they were 18 months old? Today, that average is 21–36 months! Dang. If the test of a civilization’s progress is toilet training, we’re blowing it.

Anyway, in case your issue of Neurology and Urodynamics hasn’t come in yet, it has the results of tests on a diaper with a musical poop/pee alarm. To sum it up: They work at getting kids toilet-trained. This is good news for the day-care providers in the U.S., who are in charge of 60% of all kids under five.

With those kinds of numbers, most kids get toilet training at day-care. And a diaper alarm helps day-care providers keep track of poopy bottoms.

A man named Jean-Jacques Wyndaele who co-authored the diaper study said, “The [diaper] alarm itself distracts the child out of his activity and strengthens the awareness of bladder behavior.” Yes! (More info here.)
