Even DEAD Italians are fashionable!

At the south end of Italy is the island of Sicily. And that’s where you’ll find the Capuchin Catacombs of Palermo!

A catacomb is an underground cemetery. And inside the Capuchin Catacombs (which are 500 years old) are the bodies of about 8,000 people. 

And not just ANY people. These are really well-dressed Italian mummies! The idea was that after people died, they were brought to the catacombs wearing their best clothes.  Relatives and friends would then come visit them, and hang out. 

And sometimes they'd even bring new outfits for the mummies to wear!

No, I’m not kidding. And best of all: These catacombs are open to the public!

Shrimp Cocktail Toes: A disgusting hors d’oeuvre!

Have you ever heard of shrimp cocktail toes? Me neither! But today, I learned that they are a bigtime fashion mistake.

Shrimp cocktail toes are what you call a woman’s tootsies if she is wearing open-faced shoes that are too small. This makes her toes pop out and perch over the edge of her shoes…like a shrimp cocktail! (These are also simply called "cocktail toes".)

I wonder what would happen if you harvested some toe jam from shrimp cocktail toes? Hey, it would be a seafood hors d’oeuvre that you could spread on toast!

Soon you're going to see babies wearing denim diapers. Yes, Little Movers Jean Diapers will go on sale in the U.S. next month. Why is this such a great idea? Let’s let an executive at Huggies explain:

Did you see that? "Babies can stay trendy." You know, back when I was wearing diapers, staying trendy wasn’t exactly at the top of my list of “things to do.” (Swallowing Legos was way more fun.)

What cracks me up is that it looks like the diapers have fake pockets and belt loops in the back. Are there real rivets? And I’m not sure the other babies will be impressed if they see a denim diaper sticking out of someone's onesie!
