What Do You Call a Giant Blob of Ocean Mucus?

A sea-booger? Floating phlegm? Scientists call them "mucilages," and they're being found all over the Mediterranean Sea.

They can harbor bacteria that kill fish and are harmful to humans, so maybe "fatal phlegm" is the label to go with. (Read about mucilages at National Geographic!)
