Gas in Commercials?

Back in the old days, nobody used flatulence in ads. I mean, how would a right-cheek sneak help to sell anything? The only way it could work was if it wasn't real...
...or if it wasn't an actual person doing the farting.
I like that one!

But now, you'll sometimes find actual people playing the butt bongos. While this COULD work, I don't see how either one of these ads is a good idea. Do they make you want to buy something? (Me either!)

  1. I remember watching a segment from a commercial showcase show once, and I remember the presenter explaining the emergence of flatulence in advertising, "If you can't break new ground, break wind."

No bad words, thanks!
