Gooey? Güey!

I didn’t think that “bad words” were technically gross. But then I learned that in Mexico, curse words are called “groserías.” So I was wrong… they’re gross, baby!
According to this article, Mexicans have a reputation for being ultra-polite… and for swearing! Adult Mexicans use about 20 groserías a day, with younger people cursing the most. Richer people, men, and those living near the U.S. also tend to curse more than others. For obvious reasons, I can’t share the actual words with you… well, maybe just a little one. The word güey (meaning “ox” or “stupid”) is a mild grosería that does actually sounds sort of gross.
Hey, wait, there could be trouble. It’s estimated that Mexicans use over a billion curse words daily. But will happen when the world’s supply of groserías gets used up? Dang it!
